Today's post is a bit more brief than usual (okay a lot more). Greg and I have Doran's Planning and Placement Team meeting today where we review and plan his education program for the next academic year. We look at things like what he should be learning in math, reading, science, social studies, etc. We also review his various therapies and look at his overall progress. It's a pretty big deal, so today I have a little less time to ramble. However, tomorrow I'll be back to my usual long-winded ways for better or worse.
In the meantime . . .
Two days later, the dirt cake is still being enjoyed. The kids are working through the leftovers. I thought we had plowed through most of it at the birthday party. The guests did put a serious dent in it, but that recipe just made for a whole lotta cake. It probably didn't help that I doubled the recipe to be sure we had enough for everyone.
Here is just some of the boatload of pudding I made for the cake filling. No wonder there is so much cake left! All the same, it was a fun process. I think after today, the cake will be all gone. I do kind of hate to see it go. It almost seems like part of the family by now.
Eden likes her cake with a subtle touch of sweet potato souffle. Looks divinely yummy.
Until tomorrow . . . .
