I'm yarning along today with Ginny from small things.
I can't believe that I have just now cast on for my second cowl. I meant to do so days ago. Between Thanksgiving, tree-getting and decorating, plus a host of a whole lotta other stuff, I just cast on today. It is what it is. I am steadily adding to my stack of bookmarks, but the Christmas deadline is nigh. Time to get on the sticks and maybe even simplify a plan or two.
Oh and here is my little sad picture of my legwarmers-my apologies. I took the picture on my back legs up in the air for the best vantage point. Good thing no one else was awake to see that. I do love them very much though. Malabrigo is incredibly soft and comfy. Can you see the different hues of pink in them?
As for books, I am mostly reading craft books for gift ideas and recipes. Christmas Cooking with Kids is a fun one, though my edition is different from the one pictured here. I am also using What Shall We Do Today?, Fa la la la Felt, and I Love Patchwork (we'll see if the patchwork works out) along with my last-minute knitted gifts books and Ravelry. I know I am leaving something out.
The kids and I have started into Jan Brett's Christmas Treasury. Getting started with holiday reading and making a little earlier this year gives us time to savor the season.
So what are you making and reading this week?
