It's Wednesday and time for some yarn and knitting talk.
There's not much new in my knitting world this week. I am almost done with the cowl-just binding off now. The yarn is a little droopy-perhaps because I reused it. Anyway, it's looking like I am going to have to block something for the first time in my life. Hopefully it will tighten things up a mite. After this comes off the needles, I'll be starting my Valentine's hearts and Eden's toy. I[ve been feeling pretty busy this past week so with the cowl off the needles, it almost feels like I have the mental and physical space to start something new. Yay!
As for reading this week, I am still reading just one thing. I am practicing one habit per week. Last week was being on my own side or being a friend to myself. This week's habit is "taking in the good". The author explains that scientists believe our brains have a built-in negativity bias. The book encourages us to deeply experience the good things, no matter how minor, and to reject the idea that we don't deserve to feel good or if we don't pay attention to the bad something worse will sneak up on us. It's all very interesting.
What have you been reading and making this week?
