Wednesday again-unbelievable! You know what time it is, joining Ginny for yarn along.
So these felted balls from Itty Bitty Toys are super cute. I am enjoying knitting them now, but let me tell you those first few stitches are a nightmare-of the Stephen King variety. Not many stitches spread amongst three dpns does not a good beginning make Holy smokes, I must have started over a jillion times-sometimes because things got super twisted, other times because I thought I had done something wrong (the beginning is that weird looking), and other times because I had little interruptions and lost where I was in the process. Ah but now, the bouncy ball is tucked inside the first 'bag' and I am ready to decrease. Once you get past the first few rows, this is a pretty quick knit-even for me.
Over the weekend, I actually started and finished a book-a graphic novel called Special Exits. It is wonderful, a bit sad, but nonetheless a very touching and affective read. It's about the decline of one woman's parents. I usually try to avoid sad things, but I enjoyed this book very much. It was quite a compelling book. I definitely want to read more of Joyce Farmer's work.
What are you reading and making this week?
