I am so grateful to see this. When Doran was first diagnosed with autism, we were told a simple act of making faces and joking would not happen. Although it's a sometimes scary but always necessary part of life to step into the unknown, I am relieved and grateful that we can't really know the future.
Doran just loves making his art. He likes painting, cutting, gluing, and stamping. He has become quite adept with his stamping technique lately. If you saw yesterday's post, you saw a little bit of his artwork on his face.
Apparently Doran needed a bigger canvas the other day because he has moved on from his face. To accomodate his expansive vision we make sure we have non-toxic and washable art supplies on hand. The only wrinkle is some materials are more washable than others-as you will soon see.

We have also discovered he is very quick worker. Doran managed to do this piece in about 4 minutes while looking completely innocent. Clear vision and efficiency, many artists work for years to achieve this ; -)
