It's already Wednesday and almost Thanksgiving Day . . . wow. I'm joining in with Ginny at small things for Yarn Along.
My needles have been on fire this past week-well on fire for me. I have four bookmarks made up so far, three in the last three days. There are teachers and aides on my Christmas list so I am going to need aplenty. Luckily this pattern doesn't bore me.
I have been so occupied with conferences, pom pom for turkeys and bookmarks that I haven't cast on for my next cowl. I hope to remedy that today. For the colorway, I chose Playa. I lurve it. It's of course a malabrigo.
Pom poms ready to be turkefied.
I know I promised to get a shot of my leg warmers, but Greg keeps passing out before I can get him to get a shot and then we get distracted with kid and house stuff when he is awake. Consequently, I think I am going to have to take an awkwardly angled picture just to get them up on the blog before 2o12.
There hasn't been a whole lot of reading. I have to admit temporary defeat and send Flannery and Dick Cavett back to the library from whence they came. I hope this is just a dry spell and I'll be able to read more for me soon, but I think the season of gift-making and celebrating is upon me. I see myself doing more knitting while watching old X-Files episodes or listening to holiday jams. I did enjoy those books and I am hoping to get back to them soon. We are still skipping through The Road to Oz. That is one crazy book. I highly recommend it.
I am all about this colorway lately.
Well time to get to baking sweet potato pies and casting on projects. I am pretty excited! If you celebrate Thanksgiving this week, Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a marvelous and hopefully low-stress holiday, week, and weekend. I'll be away from this space until Monday. Hope to see you then.
